What does it mean to be a Challenger?
We are incredibly honored to have been named a challenger in this report. This move from our previous Niche placement in 2018 was the largest move by far across any of the other vendors in this report. But what does this mean? Let's break it down.
To us, being a challenger means just that — we are challenging the status quo as the alternative to heavy and tired marketing clouds and separated from the crowded field of CDP and ESP players. We are the best of both worlds, sitting in between with capabilities on both sides. Antiquated and cumbersome technology providers have fallen behind on the times, and there’s an increasing need for agility in the tools marketers should be using today in order to serve the ever-changing demands of consumers. Cheetah Digital, the world’s largest independent cross-channel marketing platform, is proud to be an alternative to the traditional marketing clouds that marketers have been faced with choosing from in the past.
Cheetah has been on a mission these past few years to reinvest our revenue back into the platform to innovate on solutions that power the needs of our clients and prospects. Cheetah Digital’s recognition as a Challenger show we are succeeding in many of the areas that serve the modern marketer and demonstrates our commitment to innovation. It is also a testament to our amazing global team that works on iterating our product every day. Gartner recognizes this as they stated in their report, “The launch of the Customer Engagement Suite represents a significant product overhaul for Cheetah Digital, building on acquisitions and internal development over the past two years. The four Customer Engagement Suite modules (Cheetah Engagement Data Platform (EDP), Cheetah Messaging, Cheetah Experiences and Cheetah Loyalty) give marketers a comprehensive set of tools to manage customer data and engagement across channels and journey stages.”
To break it down even further, here’s a quick excerpt from the report on what our customers had to say:
“Cheetah Digital achieved its highest scores for customer profile management, marketing channel support and real-time decisions/recommendations. Client references gave Cheetah Digital high marks (scoring the vendor 4.5 or higher) across every critical capability. They also gave the company above-average scores relative to the other vendors in this research for overall experience, the company’s service and support functions, its overall product capabilities, and ease of use in working with the software.”
According to the report, “Reference clients cited the company’s breadth of services and its dedication to customer success as key reasons for selecting Cheetah Digital.” We are proud to serve some of the best enterprise digital marketers around the globe and are excited to have the support of third-party analysts around our mission.
